Veterans Parkway (IL 4) & Monroe Street/Old Jacksonville Rd – IDOT District 6

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the resurfacing of a 1.7-mile section of an existing four-lane divided state highway on the west side of Springfield in Sangamon County. The project included the complete reconstruction of the Monroe Street/Old Jacksonville Rd intersection. Work involved pavement widening, new dual turn lanes for IL 4, new turn lanes along Monroe & Rickard Rd & storm sewer reconstruction.

Sangamon Valley Trail – Sangamon County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for a future multi-use path and bicycle trail along an existing railroad corridor on the west side of Springfield. Work included Phase I studies and reports, pavement design, railroad bridge inspections and rehabilitation, timber bridge deck design, landscaping, and park connectors in coordination with the Springfield Park District and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

County Highway 10, 800th Ave, & 600th Street – Logan County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the recycling, resurfacing, and shoulder improvements along an existing county highway. CEC also provided structural engineering services for culvert extensions or replacements completed prior to the resurfacing project under a separate project.

County Highway 1 – Christian County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the recycling, resurfacing, and shoulder widening improvements along an existing county highway. CEC also provided structural engineering services for a concrete box culvert extension.

Pleasant Plains Road (CH10) - Sangamon County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the resurfacing, shoulder widening, and intersection improvements along an existing county highway. CEC also provided structural engineering services for a concrete box culvert extension.

Waverly Road (CH10) - Sangamon County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the resurfacing, shoulder widening, and intersection improvements along an existing county highway. Work also included a hydraulic study, culvert extensions, and replacement culverts, which were completed prior to the resurfacing.

Bethany-Findlay Road (CH 13) – Moultrie County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the realignment, reconstruction, and resurfacing along an existing county highway in Moultrie County. Work also included drainage studies, three-sided precast culvert replacements, staged construction, right-of-way, and environmental coordination.

Old Jacksonville Road (CH8) - Sangamon County

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the recycling and resurfacing of an existing county highway with additional new overlay and improved shoulders.

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the rehabilitation of the dual interstate highway bridges carrying northbound and southbound I-55 over Kickapoo Creek. This work included concrete repairs, bridge deck replacement, superstructure replacement, scour evaluation and countermeasures, and roadway maintenance of traffic plans utilizing crossovers.

IL Route 9 over Sugar Creek – IDOT District 5

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the rehabilitation of the bridge carrying IL 9 over Sugar Creek at Bloomington in McLean County, including PPC deck beam inspections, staged deck beam replacement, deck overlay, railing improvements, and approach roadway work.

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the rehabilitation of the bridge carrying IL Route 10 over I-72 in Piatt County, including bridge jacking, deck replacement, and approach roadway work.

Prairieview Road over I-74 - IDOT District 5

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the rehabilitation of the bridge carrying Prairieview Road over I-74 in Champaign County, including staged bridge jacking, deck replacement, and approach roadway work.

US Route 51 over Main Drainage Ditch - IDOT District 6

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the construction of a replacement of a three-span Precast Prestressed I-Beam bridge and approach roadways in Christian County.

Wendle Rd over Tributary to Piasa Creek - Jersey County

CEC provided contract plans, specifications, and estimates for a local bridge replacement and approach roadway realignment along an existing township road. The roadway alignment was improved for safety, and an aluminum box culvert provided a clear zone culvert without requiring a guardrail along the sweeping curved roadway.

Vachel Lindsay Bridge Rehabilitation & Construction Engineering – City of Springfield

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for the rehabilitation of this historic bridge over Lake Springfield. This work included shotcrete structural repairs, deck slab patching, epoxy polymer deck overlay, drain installation, stone railing repair, electrical conduit installation, and bridge pier lighting installation. CEC also provided construction engineering for the City of Springfield during the construction process. The design process involved coordination with the IHPA, the City of Springfield, and the Illinois Department of Transportation.

CEC provided plans, specifications, and estimates for a replacement single-span integral abutment steel I-beam and poured concrete deck bridge and approach widening along an existing county highway in Sangamon County.

County Line Culverts (TR1) - Sangamon County

CEC provided bid plans, specifications, and estimates for two culvert replacements and approach widening along an existing township road. Aluminum Box Culverts were selected as the structure type and were installed by the county.

Divernon Brush Creek Overflow - Sangamon County, Village of Divernon

CEC provided engineering services for the study of Brush Creek near Divernon in Sangamon County. Work included a hydraulic study report and a set of plans, specifications, and estimates for a single-span overflow bridge.
